Dubai Business Events (DBE) has reported strong results for the first half of 2017, with 97 successful bids to host business events.
The wins for the Dubai’s official convention bureau could mean more than 51,000 delegates from around the world visiting the city and potentially bringing in around AED 375 million.
Among the wins are the Baby Care Annual Incentive (2018), World Conference on Desalination and Water Re-Use (2019), and Congress of the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (2022).
“We’ve had a stellar start to the year, and are well on our way to achieving our targets for 2017,” said Steen Jakobsen, director of DBE. “As we continue to work towards further strengthening Dubai’s reputation of being a premier host destination for business events, we have a steady pipeline of initiatives planned for the year ahead.”
On top of the 97 successful pitches in the first six months of the year, DBE is waiting on the results of a further 97 that have been submitted.
